Speaking with Social Justice and Fairness Commission

At the start of July some of the current Fairness Commissioners and Dundee Fighting For Fairness met with John Alexander (Leader of the Council) and Shona Robinson (Dundee East MSP) from the Social Justice and Fairness Commission to discuss their plan to ‘Build Back Better’, which involves:

o Secure Income for All

o Homes and Communities for All

o Health and Wellbeing

We specifically wanted to talk to them about Secure Income For All - highlighting how Universal Credit is broken and is keeping people in poverty, and Health and Wellbeing and how Mental Health is now in deeper crisis point with the Coronavirus pandemic. We also had plenty to say about Homes and Communities for All.
